After spending the day with Braden Holtby on Monday in Saskatchewan, and Brett Leonhardt on Thursday in New Hamburg, Ontario, the Stanley Cup headed up the road to Chesley, Ontario, to spend the day with Capitals Equipment Manager, Brock Myles on Friday. Chesley Community Center, Chelsey, Ontario
Brock, a Chesley native, made the Cup available to his hometown folks, population 2,000, at the Chesley Community Center. The lines to see the Stanley Cup at the Community Center were once again quite impressive, some waiting as much as two hours to get a photo with the Cup.

The Stanley Cup was available from 10 am to 12:30 pm on Friday. The first 500 people received a Limited Edition Caps pucks.
There was also a silent auction held with proceeds to support Arran-Elderslie Minor Sports and Canadian Mental Health Association Grey-Bruce. Myles wanted to give back to the community, and brought along plenty of unique Capitals items to auction off.
Myles told the Blackburn News “It’s really rewarding to see people you maybe haven’t seen in a while, and to have the Cup back home, and make people smile, it’s all worth it. This is a pretty great experience and I hope everyone enjoys it.”

The Stanley Cup is now off to St. Clements on Saturday (Scott Murray), the Greater Toronto Area on Sunday (Tom Wilson) and Monday (Devante Wmith-Pelley) and then will return to Europe on Tuesday with stops in Denmark (Lars Eller), Sweden (Andre Burakovsky, Christian Djoos and Nicklas Backstrom), Germany (Philipp Grubauer) and Russia (Dmitry Orlov and Evgeny Kuznetsov).
