The day of the parade is upon us. . Congratulations to the Washington @capitals on winning their first Stanley Cup; after 44 years, to see the cup finally go to D.C. (and Ovechkin) for the first time is a cathartic, satisfying moment. . Congratulations to the @vegasgoldenknights on having made it this far, quite the feat in the first season. Anybody that knows me knows that I love hockey 🏒 For the last 3 years I have had picked the Predators and the Capitals for the Stanley Cup. The Preds are and will be my team however I have be a fan of Alex Ovechkin after first seeing him in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. I have been wanting to paint the cup again for awhile and finally had a good reason to I painted this with Acrylic Paint on a 24" x 36" gallery wrapped canvas If your one of my Paterons you saw before anyone else. Jon has been a Caps fan since day one, attending his first game at the Capital Centre in 1974. His passion for the Caps has grown over the decades, which has included time as a season ticket holder, social media and community organizer, and most recently led to the founding of NoVa Caps in 2014. Jon earned a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering at Old Dominion University, and is a Systems Engineer during intermissions, which has been instrumental in supporting his Capitals habit.
