The Washington Capitals held a morning skate at Kettler Capitals Iceplex on Monday prior to Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. After an exciting win on Saturday night that caused Capital One Arena and the surrounding streets to go bananas, the Capitals look to put the Vegas Golden Knights on the ropes. A win tonight would put them up 3-1 in the series.
Here is what the lines looked like:
Forwards
Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Wilson
Vrana-Bacsktrom-Oshie
Burakovsky-Eller-Connolly
Stephenson-Beagle-Smith-Pelly/Chiasson*
Defense
Kempny-Carlson
Orlov-Niskanen
Orpik-Djoos
Starting goalie: Braden Holtby
The Capitals will go with the same lineup for Game 4 as they’ve gone in the first three games of the Stanley Cup Finals. The only acceptation today came on the fourth line. Alex Chiasson had to be a placeholder for Devante Smith-Pelly after he took a puck to the face prior to morning skate.
Smith-Pelly came back out after repairs, regained his spot on the fourth-line and practiced with the special teams.
