Strong Turnout from Thursday’s Capitals Optional Practice Prior to Traveling to Tampa

The Washington Capitals held one final practice on Thursday morning before taking off for Tampa Bay for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Although it was optional skate, there was still a lot that went on. If you couldn’t make it to Kettler Capitals Iceplex, NoVa Caps has you covered from Thursday’s heavily attended optional.

Andre Burakovsky was a full participant in the optional skate sporting a normal white bottom-six forward jersey. He continues to make progress as he’s now a step above Wednesday when he wore a light blue non-contact jersey.

You could see the energy that Tom Wilson showed during practice as he makes his return to the lineup Friday night for Game 1.
