The Washington Capitals took the ice on Saturday morning for a morning skate at Kettler Capitals Iceplex Prior to Game 5. This upcoming game will be intense on all levels as the winner tonight will be just one win away from advancing to the next round. On Saturday morning, the team seemed loose, relaxed, and ready to go. If you couldn’t make it to Kettler, here are the highlights.

The Holtbeast aka Braden Holtby looks ready to go.

How ready did he look? This ready! Holtby stopped a backhander from T.J. Oshie.

During special teams drills, Michael Kempny made a great clear.

Over on the other side at the tail end of the morning skate drills, Alex Ovechkin had some fun with the puck.

Nathan Walker jumped in on the fun too!

Tom Wilson was all smiles. Even though he has two more games left of his suspension, he is still allowed to participate in team practices and morning skates.

Walker and Chandler Stephenson each passed the puck to each other.

Jakub Vrana smiles are the best smiles.

We’ll see you tonight for Game 5 Caps fans!
