You may have been wondering in our initial Game 3 lineup post where T.J. Oshie was at morning skate and whether or not he’s playing. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. At the skate, Travis Boyd took over in Oshie’s spot on the second line alongside Jakub Vrana and Nicklas Backstrom.
The Capitals said that Oshie was taking a maintenance day, which was the second time in this series that Oshie took a maintenance day. He skipped Saturday’s practice as well. Trotz told the media after practice that he expects Oshie to play.
Caps coach Barry Trotz said he expects T.J. Oshie to play tonight after Oshie did not participate in morning skate for maintenance.
