Hershey Bears Honor Humboldt Broncos Before Win over Bridgeport (Photos)

HERSHEY, PA — Hockey teams across North America have come together to honor the Humboldt Broncos, and tonight the Hershey Bears joined in honoring the 16 lives that were tragically lost. The fans raised over $7,000 in support of the Broncos, and the Bears paid their respects by gathering with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for a moment of silence and the Canadian and American National Anthems. Hockey is truly an amazing community. (Read more about the ceremony).

Following the anthems, the Bears and Sound Tigers faced off for their final matchup this season. The Bears held on for a 2-1 win with goals from Jonas Siegenthaler and Mathias Bau. For more on tonight’s matchup, check out the full-game recap and keep scrolling for photos.
