After injuring his upper-body on April 1 in Pittsburgh, Jay Beagle has slowly been rehabbing. He was absent from practices and morning skates throughout the week but returned to the ice this week. While he didn’t join his teammates at practice from Monday through Wednesday, he did some individual skating on his own.
During Thursday’s morning skate, Beagle was skating with his teammates wearing a light blue non-contact jersey. The non-contact jersey indicates that Beagle can’t lay out a hit or be hit.

Beagle won’t play in Game 1 tonight and Trotz said that he’s still day-to-day.
Trotz on Beagle (upper body): “He’s day to day. But he’s obviously skating.” That’s about all you’re going to get this time of year. We do know he’s not playing tonight in Game 1, tho. #Caps #CapsJackets
