The Stanley Cup Playoffs kicked off last night with three games but on Thursday night, the Washington Capitals will finally get their turn. Beginning tonight it’s their time to shine in front of the hockey world. Before the team takes the ice at Capital One Arena in front of a sea of red the team held a morning skate at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Here are what the lines looked like this morning and the lineup and scratches for Game 1.

These were the lines at morning skate and will most likely be the lines you’ll see tonight:

Vrana-Eller-Smith Pelly
Starting goalie: Philipp Grubauer

Scratches: Jay Beagle (upper-body), Travis Boyd (sick), Shane Gersich, Christian Djoos, and Madison Bowey

Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. and you can catch the game locally on NBC Sports Washington and nationally on USA.
