Hershey Bears Held Scoreless in Back-to-Back Games (Photos)

HERSHEY, PA — Well folks, here we are again. We’re close to the end of the season, and while I try to remain optimistic, I’m thinking the Bears have missed their opportunity to become cup contenders this year. After winning on Friday to the Syracuse Crunch, the Bears got shutout in back-to-back games, including tonight’s 3-0 loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Bears are ranked 8th in the Atlantic with a record of 25-29-4-5, and with Travis Boyd up with the Caps, injuries to Riley Barber and Connor Hobbs, things aren’t looking too good for Chocolate Town.

For more on tonight’s matchup against Grand Rapids Griffins, read the full-game recap and keep scrolling for photos from the game.

Starters.

Paul Geiger joins the Bears from South Carolina.

The gloves are flying.

Excuse me?

Yeah. ok.

Wayne Simpson misses on a semi-breakaway.

Griffins score. womp womp.

Sill comes pretty close to scoring.

And another goal.

Hampus Gustafsson gets some playing action, as well.

Oh poor Pheonix.

g.m. b.m. can not build thru the draft !!!that is why hershey is in last place.best part is 4 or 5 of thase bears will be rocking the red next year because you have no cap space left to put nhl players on the roster.and teddy just gave this clown an extension??better hope is doesn’t have oshie-like term!

GMBM has done quite well with draft picks the last several years. Plenty of talent in the system with later round picks. The problem has been trading away picks most of which happened with GMGM although GMBM’s record is not perfect.
