Up 5-1 to a 7-6 loss: Hershey Bears vs Lehigh Valley Phantoms (Photos)

ALLENTOWN, PA – Yep, you read that right. The Hershey Bears took a commanding 5-1 lead over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms only Friday night, only to end up losing the game 7-6. The Bears controlled the first, scoring five of their six goals on the evening. Then it was the Phantoms who would command the second, making it 6-5 Hershey by the end of the period. The Bears couldn’t seal the deal, and the Phantoms skated away with the two points, further solidifying their number one spot in the Atlantic. Speaking of standings, if you’re wondering, the Bears are now last in the Atlantic with a record of 23-27-4-4. Woof.

Atta boy Lucas.

More Bears’ goals? How about one from Langlois?

That’s one happy Bear and some not-so-happy Phantoms’ fans.

More cellys. This time it’s a Nathan Walker goal.

Now that’s using you noggin. (I’m sorry for making that joke).

Graovac sneaks ones past the diving Phantoms’ goalie.

Surprisingly that didn’t go in.

Neither did this.

Nope – this didn’t either.

That one did though. 😐

Riley Barber scores a beauty on a breakaway.

When you awkwardly celebrate by yourself until the rest of your teammates show up.

Coming back for the high fives.

Colby Williams narrowly saves the puck on the goal line, but it eventually gets shoved in.

It’s filling up in there.

The Phantoms tie the game just 4:12 into the third.
