Additions to The Caps “Man Cave”: An Update on the Ultimate DIY Project

Back in October of 2016 we brought you a sneak-peak of a Caps fan’s impressive DIY project to build a Capitals-themed “man cave”.  As you may recall, NoVa Caps reader Chip Hannan sent us a brief video of his personal DIY project following an article we published on Alex Ovechkin’s personal man cave

We were quite impressed with Chip’s project, so we thought it would be nice to share with all of you. We asked Chip if he could send us a little more information on the project, which he was kind enough to do. You can see our original post here.  It includes photos of the construction of the original room. Here is the original video Chip sent to us:

Well, as it turns out, Chip wasn’t done. He’s added a few nice touches to his Capitals space, including a new bar, accent lighting and a few games to entertain his guests. Here are just a few photos of the latest additions:

We can’t wait to see what Chip comes up with next, and we’ll  be sure to let you know if he ever begins taking reservations for games.

Do you have a Capitals or Bears-related DIY project? We would love to hear about it. Send us a message and let us know.

  1. We may not have a fancy wooden bar or kegs in the walls, but we DO have an entire room dedicated to our signed Caps paraphernalia we’ve collected over the years…
