  2. I think it’s premature to say with any certainty that Andre got “off the schneid”–at least in any meaningful sense. Until he begins scoring in bunches the way his talent suggests he can I think it’s more a matter of wait-and-see.

It’s like watching a hitter get a single after going oh-for-22 and reading the following day that he’d finally broken his slump…But if he goes 3 for his next 26 (which often happens) you can’t very well say that he’d broken his slump, can you? In hindsight, all he’d done was interrupt his cold spell…briefly…

As ever, with Burakovsky and Vrana, and (fill-in-the-blank), time will tell…

    It always does…

  4. I’d really like to know how Holtby getting hit in the face isn’t goaltender interference and the Jets’ last goal not called back.

Secondly, Beagle going out late in the 3rd really hurt us in OT considering he’s our best faceoff guy and IIRC we lost all our OT faceoffs (or close to it).

Should have scored in that open net… Caps are competitive with Jets, Knights…. They will have as good a chance as any in the playoffs./
