David Gunnarsson has been known for designing goalie masks for numerous Washington Capitals and Hershey Bears goaltenders over the years. On Thursday, he unveiled his latest creation for Bears goalie Vitek Vanececk. You can follow David on Instagram @daveart

On his Instagram post David described Vanecek’s new mask:
It is with a great joy we unleash Vitek Vanecek’s latest Hershey Bears mask. A classic built design filled with details all over the creation. A design created in a mix of airbrush and brush tech, to catch that old school vibe. I love to mix paint techniques to reach that exact theme and style we want for the mask. Every new mask is a new and unique story. And the closer you come the more details you will discover and the design transforms in front of your eyes.

This isn’t the first time Gunnarsson designed a mask for Vanecek this season. Back in late November, he designed a blue one with the Capitals logos. He also designed masks for each goaltender prior to the Outdoor Classic last month. Well done David!

About Michael Marzzacco

Michael is an avid DC sports fan with a passion for writing. He has followed the Washington Capitals since the 2003-04 season, around the time his enthusiasm for DC teams really began. It was from the days when they had the worst record in the league to when they became the most exciting team in the area. His Dad took him to his first Caps game a couple of years later. One of his favorite memories was being in the stands during the 2015 Winter Classic where Troy Brouwer scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds left. Michael graduated from Radford University in May 2016, earning a degree in journalism and focusing on sports journalism and broadcasting. His goal is to work in sports media in Washington, D.C.
