In big back-to-back games against division rivals Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Hershey Bears managed to only get one point. Both games were a tight race with Lehigh picking up a 2-1 win in each matchup. It was a big weekend for the Bears to gain a little ground in the standings, but I have no fear that they’ll be able to turn things around. As for the Phantoms, they’re back in Chocolate Town for the Outdoor Classic. It should be a lot of fun, and these two teams will be ready for battle. Read the full-game recap for more.
This one little girl will always bang on the glass at Vitek Vanecek in warmups, and he’ll normally bang on it right back. Today he decided to tease her with a puck.
He ended up tossing one over for her, but all the fans got a big kick out of it. What a kid.
Be one with the stick.
O’Brien gets the gang-up-on-the-goalie goal. I think they are keeping score on this.
Too cute.
Chris Bourque and squad head back to the bench after giving Hershey a 1-0 lead.
I love how Pheonix loves to get in the mix.
Someone is up to no good.
Definitely up to no good.
Barry Trotz is in the house hanging with Bears VP of Hockey Ops Bryan Helmer.
Thank goodness for Connor Hobbs.
Phantoms’ T.J. Brennan lines up his shot.
And Pheonix makes the save!
Unfortunately, the Bears couldn’t make the save on him in OT. Hopefully, the Outdoor Classic has fewer Phantoms’ goal cellys.
Pheonix picked up a second star honor, but he’s always number one in our hearts.
See you at the outdoor game everyone!

Great sequence on Brennan shot.
Thanks Jon!
Love the shots you got of my daughter while Vitek was taunting her with the puck!!! 🙂
Yes! I’m glad you found them here! I loved seeing it. It gave me a good laugh. Vitek is such a character.
