Capitals General Manager Brian MacLellan announced Thursday morning that the Capitals have re-assigned Travis Boyd back to Hershey. The move comes just three days after Boyd made his NHL debut. Boyd was brought up to fill in for the injuries of Chandler Stephenson, Andre Burakovsky and then T.J. Oshie.
Stephenson returned to the lineup last night. This re-assignment could indicate that Burakovsky could return to the lineup on Friday night against the Rangers. We’ll wait and find out soon enough.
