With Andre Burakovsky potentially making his return to the lineup on Friday night against the Rangers, the Capitals needed to make some roster moves to clear room for Burakovsky on the 23-man roster. First they re-assigned Travis Boyd to Hershey and at noon on Thursday, the Capitals placed Tyler Graovac on waivers.
Teams will have 24-hours to claim Graovac and that 24-hour period will expire at noon on Friday. If nobody claims him, Graovac will be sent to Hershey.
Tyler Graovac to waivers, so the Caps can activate Burakovsky.
