Capitals Return to Practice Following Loss to Penguins

The Capitals returned to practice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex 11:30 this morning, before departing for New Jersey. The Caps have a weekend road trip with stops in Newark on Friday and Philadelphia on Saturday.

Trotz implemented additional tweaks to the forward lines, which are likely an indication of the lines for tomorrow night against the Devils.

The changes were made to accommodate the return of Tom Wilson, who has completed serving his four game suspension, and will return to the lineup Friday night in Newark.

It looks like Nathan Walker and Tyler Graovac are the potential healthy scratches he’s for Friday night. It’s not clear what roster moves might accompany the return of Tom Wilson.

It’s not clear who will be starting in goal on Friday night. With a back-to-back set this weekend, its likely Holtby will get first game and Grubauer assigned the second game. We’ll keep you posted?

As for practice, it looks like Caps Coaching has had enough of the penalties.
