Kuznetsov was on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck for his old team Traktor, as they faced Avtomobilist in their home opener at the Traktor Ice Arena in Chelyabinsk.

This was Traktor’s first home game of the new KHL season, which officially kicked off earlier this week. Traktor fell to Avtomobilist 2-1.

Kuznetsov is set to return to Washington in the next week. Capitals training camp will likely begin on or around September 14th, following the rookie tournament.
