Washington Capitals’ center Evgeny Kuznetsov has enlisted the services of an interior designer in his hometown of Chelyabinsk, Russia. There is no word on whether the design services are for remodeling his existing home, or whether Kuznetsov has begun work on his dream home on the river bank.
Evgeny’s Interior Designer, Max Novikov, presented the gift to Kuznetsov on Friday at his studio in Chelyabinsk. “We are always pleased to make our customers gifts. We gave Evgeny Kuznetsov a chic picture made by the artist of our center, Sasha Kireeva.”
We reached out to the artist to find out more about the painting and the meaning represented by Scrooge McDuck “making it rain“. Sasha stated that the painting is meant to provide “talisman” to the recipient. Talisman is an object believed to contain certain magical properties thought to draw good luck to the possessor, or offer the possessor protection from possible evil or harm.
At this point, Capitals players and fans will take whatever good luck charms, gestures, trinkets, spells, karma, voodoo we can get. Besides that, it’s a pretty sweet painting.
