Just like other Capitals players hailing from Scandinavia, the offseason is a time for returning to their homeland to spend time with family and friends, stepping away from the public spotlight and dropping off the grid. Always up for a bit of a challenge, we decided to do some digging and see what “The Great Dane”, Lars Eller, has been up to since the Capitals season came crashing to a halt back in May.
Eller began his offseason back home in Copenhagen, Denmark. Eller posted “Part of my summer is spending time back home in Denmark 🇩🇰 Spending time with family, recovering, recharging and preparing for next season. Here is the view from my condo in Copenhagen.”
On Father’s Day, Eller launched his first Instagram page by posting an adorable picture of him and his daughter.
In late June, Eller shared a video of a paddle tennis game with his brother Mads in Copenhagen.
In early July, Eller shared a photo of a backyard cookout with him and his family back home in Copenhagen, Denmark.
On July 7th, Eller returned to his old team, the Rodovre Mighty Bulls, to participate in the team’s unveiling of their new home jersey’s. Lars’ brother, Mads, is currently a forward on the Mighty Bulls.
