T.J. Oshie is coming home. On Saturday, in Warroad, Minnesota, Oshie will take part in a Hockeytown USA Celebrity Golf Tournament to help raise money for hockey rinks, including a new facility that will open this fall. There will be a dozen NHL players and 30 celebrities within the hockey community that are expected to partake in the golf tournament

Warroad, also known as Hockeytown USA, has produced some of the best men and women hockey players in the world, including numerous NHLers, Hall of Famers, seven Olympians, and 80 Division I hockey players.

While the golf tournament is part of tradition in Warroad, this is the first time the event has been held in nearly two decades. Aside from Oshie, Olympians Gigi Marvin and Brock Nelson will also make appearances. The tournament will take place at the Warroad Estates Golf Course.

In addition to the hockey tournament there will be a banquet at 7 p.m. at Warroad Gardens.

About Michael Marzzacco

Michael is an avid DC sports fan with a passion for writing. He has followed the Washington Capitals since the 2003-04 season, around the time his enthusiasm for DC teams really began. It was from the days when they had the worst record in the league to when they became the most exciting team in the area. His Dad took him to his first Caps game a couple of years later. One of his favorite memories was being in the stands during the 2015 Winter Classic where Troy Brouwer scored the game-winning goal with 12 seconds left. Michael graduated from Radford University in May 2016, earning a degree in journalism and focusing on sports journalism and broadcasting. His goal is to work in sports media in Washington, D.C.
