Nate Schmidt Thanks Capitals’ Teammates and Fans – Caps Nation Responds

Nate Schmidt took to social media Wednesday night to extend his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the Capitals organization, his Capitals teammates, and Caps Nation.

Schmidt’s message came just a few hours after he was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. As would be expected, Schmidt’s Tweet received a tremendous number of emotional replies.

Thursday afternoon Schmidt posted another “thank you” message, this time to his Instagram account.


Schmidt’s former teammates also took to social media, wishing Nate good luck.
