Hershey Bears Scenes from the Season

It’s time for the long hockey drought that is the summertime. All the cups have been won and now we wait for the boys of winter to return to the ice in October. To get us through the next few months, I thought it would be fun to look back on the memorable moments the 2016-17 season brought for the Hershey Bears in a series I’m entitling “Scenes from the Season.”

As a photographer, it’s all about capturing moments, and when you are taking pictures at a hockey game, there is a lot to capture! Let’s take a look back at some of my favorite moments from the season and be sure to check back next month for the next part in the series.

Madison Bowey went in for the high five, but Paul Carey decided to dab instead.

Jakub Vrana gave away his first star of the game stick to Vitek Vanecek, who recorded his first AHL win. All. The. Feels.

That time Coach Mann had to hold back Liam O’Brien from jumping the bench after someone took a cheap shot.

Tyler Lewington practicing his dad skills.

Despite what it looks like, Tyler Lewington actually shoved that bear in Christian Djoos’ face.

Domenic Monardo made some friends at practice and tossed some pucks over to them.

Zach Sill teaching the ladies how it’s done at the annual Hockey and Heels event.

Tyler Lewington tried drawing a reindeer, and it didn’t exactly look like that, so Riley Barber and Aaron Ness let him have it.

Jakub Vrana tells the fans to fill up their pint glasses with him on it and have some fun.

Nathan Walker chuckin’ knucks and takin’ names.

Our all-stars.

The man children’s shoving tradition in warm-ups is always a classic.

One time a dog dropped the puck – that was pretty cool. What a good doggo.

Pheonix returns and savors his first win back at home.

A few games later he was ready to drop the mitts at center ice, but his opponent didn’t like that idea so much.

When Vitek Vanecek got lost in Liam’s hair flip.

A Paul Carey hat trick.

Travis Boyd almost rolls it on his way to get his player of the week award.

All of the playoff blondes.
