Line Changes at Morning Skate

Capitals bench boss Barry Trotz has decided to tweak the Capitals lines for game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal.

Trotz has moved Tom Wilson up to the third line and repositioned Brett Connolly down on the 4th line in an attempt to kick-start bottom six production, as well as provide better third-line matchups with the Maple Leafs.

There were no changes on defense. Barry Trotz noted on Tuesday that Karl Alzner would not be able to go in game 4, so expect Nate Schmidt to return to the lineup tonight.

A brief scare this morning. Marcus Johansson inadvertently ran into Braden Holtby during morning skate.

The same type of collision occurred in practice during last year’s first round matchup with the Flyers. More here.
