The Columbus Blue Jackets lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 on Friday night, and now trail 2-0 in their first round series with Pittsburgh. But all hope is not lost, as the Blue Jackets now head home to host the next two games of the series. The Columbus-Dispatch will be doing all they can to help the Jackets try to even up the series.
The paper will be providing crying Sidney Crosby masks through their hard copy print edition on Sunday, in advance of game 3 Sunday night.
The paper tweeted out an advertisement for the free mask on Friday, but deleted the tweet late Friday night. Rumor is the paper received a tremendous amount of heat from the Pittsburgh Penguins, Penguins fans and the hockey media in general.
Well looks like @DispatchAlerts deleted their tweet. I wonder why 💅😎✌️ pic.twitter.com/JS3ShsgATj
