Hershey Bears Push to the Playoffs Falters (Photos)

The Hershey Bears hit a rough patch this weekend. After coming back into the playoff picture, the Bears had a huge opportunity to seal their spot in the quest for the Calder Cup. Unfortunately, they came up short this weekend losing three straight to divisional competitors. The loses didn’t come with a lack of effort. The Hershey Bears were trying, and you’ll see many happy photos below. It just wasn’t the Bears’ weekend.

But, there’s no sense dwelling on the past. We can only look forward and hope the Bears can clinch a spot in the remaining 5 games.

Gettin’ a closer peak of the Pheonix’s stylin’ new Caps’ helmet

This photo is cool. (I’m biased though)

Tyler Lewington scaring the kids along the glass.

I think the bigger kids are on the ice though.

Hey Hampus!

The intensity.

Riley Barber celebrates Travis Boyd’s goal.

Sweet celly.

Unfortunately, this was the only hugging the boys would do this night. 🙁

Sunday

Siegenthaler playing his first game in Giant Center since returning to Hershey this season.

Always smiling.

Riley Barber came in full charge like he was going to hit Bowey and Sill, but hit the brakes right in front of them and then he just poked them both.

What a goofball.

He didn’t have the same mercy for Colby Williams though.

Zach Sill doing what he does best: teasing the goalies.

Hey everybody! Get your hands up for Nathan Walker’s goal!

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

These photos are great.

And moving right along into Jakub Vrana’s goal celebration.

I think O’Brien was a little bit excited for that one.

It’s good to see him get on the scoresheet.

Phantoms’ forward Andy Miele eyes Hampus Gustafsson for a fight.

The gloves are off.

And Hampus gets the takedown in his first pro fight.

He may have gotten a bloody nose too.

The Bears’ weekend summed up into one photo.

They did not try (look ahead/playing bad team) on Friday vs Hartford. That was a POOR effort. Sat and Sunday were games that they worked hard, but things just didn’t work for them.
