For those of you fortunate fans that got to witness Alex Ovechkin’s hattrick last night in Minnesota, owner Ted Leonsis is ready to help you out.
Mr. Leonsis reached out to Caps Nation on Twitter Wednesday morning, and once again offered to buy new hats for all of the Caps fans who attended the game last night, and tossed a hat following Ovechkin’s third goal.
If you were in Minny last night and tossed your cap. I will send you a replacement. I do this every year it seems. https://t.co/ZOyWwwWLaY

It’s becoming something of a tradition in Minnesota, as Mr. Leonsis extended the same offer last season after Ovechkin’s hattrick.
Ovechkin lit the lamp with three power play tallys for his 17th career hattrick, and his second in as many games at Xcel Energy Center.
Some of the responses from Caps Nation have been spot-on:
@TedLeonsis save the money to pay free agents @boyvoid

@TedLeonsis @Capitals Thanks Ted! It was our first Caps game and my girlfriend and I both tossed our hats. What do you need? Ticket stubs?
