Hershey Bears Earn Big Win Against Providence Bruins (Photos)

The Hershey Bears are making a playoff push. While the weekend may not have started off the way the Bears had hoped with a loss to the Phantoms, the boys bounced back posting back-to-back wins on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday’s tilt against the Providence Bruins was the big matchup of the weekend since the Bruins are only two points ahead of the Bears. After the win on Sunday, the Hershey Bears, Providence Bruins, and Bridgeport Sound Tigers are all tied with 77 points and vying for two open playoff spots. Stay tuned folks. It will be a nail bitter ’til the finish.

Here’s a nifty view of the back.

The puzzle piece design is really neat.

After Stan ties the game at 1-1 he makes sure to go back and give Pheonix some love too.

Guess who tied the game again at 2-2? That’s right – it’s Stanislav Galiev.

Good to see the fiesty Aussie back on the ice again.

And even better to see the Captain get on the scoresheet.

All eyes on the puck.

Nathan Walker scores the empty netter.

All the hardworking guys getting some reward today.

And at the end of the game the Bruins knew that they lost a big game so they decided to take out their frustrations.

And Pheonix Copley was gloves dropped and ready to go with Malcolm Subban at the red line.

This is my “I’m retiring from photography” shot of the game.

Happy Bears.

When you’re trying to enjoy the stick salute, but the Providence Bruins refuse to go down the runway and accept the loss.

The Bruins insisted they were just getting a drink, so Zach Sill grabbed a water bottle and said he’s just drinking too. Then he stood there and waited until they all left the ice.

Man, am I glad we got this guy.

Number 1 star. It’s Stanislav Galiev’s world and we’re all just living in it.
