What a whirlwind of a week it has been for Hershey Bears’ nation. We’ve said farewell to some players and welcomed another back in to the chocolate and white. Even with the recent changes, the Hershey Bears swept the weekend against some major competitors and are now tied for fourth place in the Atlantic Division. If this weekend is any indication of what to expect for the last few weeks of the season, look out Atlantic Division, the Hershey Bears are prowling for a playoff spot. Buckle up, baby. It’s Calder Cup or bust.
Saturday
Still smiling even after Zach Sill smushed him into the glass.
Look at this guy! I still can’t believe he’s back.
What would warm ups be without a little pushing?
Pure concentration.
Find someone who looks at you like Zach Sill looks at Ryan Bourque
He’s so excited that Ryan scored in warm ups.
🙂 🙂
Puppy puck drop!
Time for the actual puck drop.
Colby Williams nets his first goal since January and his fourth of the season.
Good times for the young defensemen.
Aaron Ness is pretty happy for Williams too.
Always have your eye on the puck.
Happy defensemen, happy team.
Gilbert seems to be fairing pretty nicely in Hershey. He’s 1-4-5 and a +4 in his first 9 games with the Bears.
What would a rivalry night be without a little sparring?
Especially when Pheonix Copley decides he’s getting into the action and pushes down Hershey fan favorite, WBS forward Tom Sestito.
Of course, he got up with a vengeance.
It’s okay though because Pheonix made 36 saves, helping the Bears secure the victory and a big two points against the Baby Pens.
It’s good to see you in chocolate and white again.
What a performance in his first game back at the GC.
Naturally, Pheonix is the first star of the game.
Welcome back, Pheonix.
All smiles when talking about trying to score in the empty net.
When you have to steal the mic just to say how happy you are to be back again.
Sunday
Starting off with this beautiful photo of Liam.
Double Bubble: the official gum of the AHL.
Fist bumps.
The little bears banging on the glass.
Apparently Aaron Ness doesn’t like Colby Williams as much as that young fella.
Zach Sill misses on the rebound attempt.
Tyler Lewington comes barreling into Colby Williams. The lady in the front looks terrified.
Guys! Hey guys! Guess what? Pheonix is back!
I think we need to keep Monardo around. This line was working it all weekend.
Stitches and back out there. Hockey face.
Christian Thomas celebrates on his way back to the bench after notching his 22nd of the season.
Call-up Kelly Zajac gives the Bears the lead for the first time in the game.
And he seals the deal hitting the empty net. Atta boy Zajac.
There is a lot happening in this photo.
And this one too.
Stanislav Galiev has been feeling it.
He goes from fighting to smiling in a flash.
Passing out his second star of the game stick
Spotlight on the two-goal-scoring first star of the game.
