The Hershey Bears announced via Twitter that Jakub Vrana and Riley Barber have been recalled this morning.

Both Barber and Vrana have been with the Capitals this season.
Vrana has appeared in 12 games this season for Washington, scoring his first NHL goal and adding two assists. In 36 games for Hershey this season, he has 14 goals and 12 assists.
Barber has appeared in 2 games this season for Washington and is still looking for his first NHL points in his young career. In 19 games this season for Hershey (he was injured), he has seven goals and five assists.

Barber, 23, made his NHL/Capitals debut on Feb. 24 against Edmonton and played in two games with Washington this season. He has recorded 12 points (7g, 5a) in 19 games with the Bears in 2016-17. The 6’0”, 193-pound forward missed 35 games this season with an upper-body injury and has recorded four points (3g, 1a) in six games since returning to the lineup. Last season, Barber registered 55 points (26g, 29a) in 74 games with Hershey and ranked second among AHL rookies in goals and tied for fourth in points. In addition, he ranked second on the team in goals, points and shots (163) and ranked third in assists. The Pittsburgh native was named the Bears’ 2015-16 Rookie of the Year. He has earned 67 points (33g, 34a) in 93 career AHL games with Hershey. Barber played at Miami University (Ohio) for three seasons from 2012-15 and earned 123 points (54g, 69a) in 116 games. He was drafted by the Capitals in the sixth round, 167th overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Vrana, 21, has recorded three points (1g, 2a) in 12 games with the Capitals this season. The Prague, Czech Republic, native made his NHL debut on Dec. 1 against the Islanders and scored his first NHL goal on Dec. 9 at Buffalo. Vrana tallied his first multi-point game with two assists on Dec. 13 against the Islanders. He was drafted by the Capitals in the first round, 13th overall, in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Vrana registered 26 points (14g, 12a) in 36 games with Hershey this season and ranks fifth on the team in goals. He registered 34 points (16g, 18a) in 36 games as a rookie with Hershey in 2015-16 and ranked fourth among Bears skaters in power-play goals (5), tied for fifth in goals (16) and tied for sixth in points (34). In addition, he ranked second on the team in points per game (0.94) after missing a majority of the regular season due to injury. Vrana has tallied 64 points (29g, 35a) in 72 career AHL games with Hershey.
