The Washington Capitals have recalled forward Riley Barber and defenseman Aaron Ness from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
Capitals General Manager Brian MacLellan addressed the media before practice today at Kettler. He gave an update on Matt Niskanen, discussed a need for a third goalie, the possibility of resigning T.J. Oshie and next week’s trade deadline.
Caps defensman Matt Niskanen left last night’s game in the second period after colliding with Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas. He left the game with what appeared to be a left knee injury. Niskanen would not return to the game.
