With some important points up for grabs, the Hershey Bears are heading into a weekend against the Providence Bruins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers. They worked hard on drills, but in typical hockey player fashion, they made sure to have fun while doing it.

When Milner makes a really good save on you.
And also makes a really good save on Vrana.
Christian Thomas is not happy with Aaron Ness.
Or Chandler Stephenson for that matter.
I wonder what they are talking about.
Assistant Coach Reid Cashman chats with Jakub Vrana
Best celly of the day.
Gather round boys.
Milner making big saves again.
Clearing the snow out of the crease for the shoot out.
Who needs a zamboni, right?
Stanislav Galiev scores first in the shoot out.
The goal scorers look pretty happy over there.
But were even more happy to see Assistant Coach Reid Cashman score. I’m not sure why, but they loved it.
Like really loved it.
The players that scored got to keep going until there was a winner. Stan was a little angry he didn’t get to go again after his stick snapped on the shot.
Chris Bourque scores on Vitek Vanecek and wins the shootout!
It’s a make-shift shooter tutor.
The boys coaxed Milner in to playing the gauntlet, where they pass the puck across the crease and inevitably tic-tac-toe the goalie.
Yep, kinda like that.
Unfortunately, the fun was ruined when Milner had to do media interviews.
It’s ok though Dustin Gazley will step in as goalie.
Always having fun out there.

How many games / TOI minutes do you think Tom Gilbert will play this weekend in Providence and Bridgeport?
That’s a great question, and I’m just as anxious as you to have an answer. It makes sense to add a veteran presence in a pretty young d-core, but the timing seems a little strange to me. After Bowey’s injury, they struggled on the backend, but have seemed to pick things up these last few weeks. It will be interesting to see how he fits into the lineup, especially now that Hershey is over the veteran limit. Stay tuned!
