Capitals Owner Goes on a Run of his Own…On Twitter

Capitals owner Ted Leonsis took to social media in a somewhat uncharacteristic manner this afternoon. The topic? The media and “self-proclaimed experts”.

Leonsis took to his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon to fire off a few successive missives, mostly directed at the media. The messages appeared to be directed at specific media outlets that cover all of his sports teams.

It should be noted that Mr. Leonsis is normally relatively quiet on social media, using the platforms to send out daily business messages, the occaisional “selfie” or notes to fans.

We can’t say we disagree with anything Mr. Leonsis had to say in his stream of consciousness this afternoon. In fact, he’s spot on. This is why we love Ted. And yes, all of his teams are indeed doing extremely well.

It should also be noted that our favorite owner in all of sports also posted this heart-felt message on his Twitter account today.

Thank you Ted! Keep on truckin’!.

Love the caps. But I really think leonsis is a complete asshat. His teams haven’t won a thing in all these years and here he is beating his chest. Really kind of pathetic.
