The Capitals returned to the Kettler ice after a 5-0 win last night over the Hurricanes. They recalled a player who was on the opening night roster and they welcomed a special fan to the game.
PRACTICE
Zach Sanford was recalled from Hershey this morning, and was the first player on the ice before practice. Evgeny Kuznetsov was shaken up in the first period last night but he returned to the game and scored in the third. Jay Beagle took a shot to the knee in the third period while the Capitals were on the penalty kill. Both players were at practice today. Beagle was the last man on the ice.

After practice, Jay Beagle told reporters more of what happened.
“My leg, it went numb for a bit, it hit a nerve so I just had a numb leg. After about five minutes it came back and I had feeling in my leg again,” said Beagle.

CAPITALS IN THE COMMUNITY
The Capitals are hosting Fatima Al Aii from Abu Dhabi from Feb. 5 through the 10th. Her stickhandling skills caught the attention of Capitals legend Peter Bondra while he was in Dubai recently.
