T.J. Oshie will not play in tonight’s game against the Devils. Fear not though Caps fans, his absence tonight has nothing to do with an injury.
The right winger headed home to Virginia from New Jersey due to a family matter.
T.J. Oshie had a family matter that he had to leave for, per team. Will not play tonight. Trotz will address more after morning skate.

The Capitals still have Chandler Stephenson with the team so expect to see him in the lineup tonight. Jay Beagle, who missed the game on Tuesday night in Ottawa due to an illness, will take Oshie’s place on the top line.

We should know more what the lineup will look like both during the morning skate and when Trotz addresses reporters after.

Any idea what the family matter was?
I know we all care, but please let them have a personal life.
The Capitals/Oshie will let us know as much as they/he want to make public. We’ll report no more than that.
