It’s not a secret, the Hershey Bears are struggling. (Read more about that here) Speculation is churning and fans are getting increasingly upset. I think the Bears are trying to keep things lighthearted, but frustrations are definitely boiling over for a team who hasn’t experienced a slump like this before.
Let’s check out some of the action from Wednesday and Sunday’s match-ups.
Wednesday
The Czech bromance continues.
Find someone who looks at you like Vanecek looks at Vrana.
Woah, a little aggressive there Tyler.
Nathan Walker helps a fan get a puck that’s stuck in the netting.
Hey thanks dude.
Oh boy, Thomas gets the gang-up-on-the-goalie goal. (This is become a re-occuring thing, have you noticed?)
Vanecek knows he’s in trouble.
Aww. It’s okay buddy. We still like you.
The boys celebrate their lone goal of the game..
But would eventually end the night with a 5-1 loss.
Sunday
With a depleting healthy defensive core, PTO Steve Weinstein checks into the lineup.
Based on Aaron Ness’ face, I think we can all tell who got the goal in warm-ups.
Yep, it was Christian Thomas.
AHL President Dave Andrews delivers the All-Star jerseys to Bourque and Boyd.
Local law enforcement and emergency responders hold a flag for the anthem on Hometown Heroes night.
Rivalry night? That’s Nathan Walker being smashed into the ice.
Phantoms’ goalie Alex Lyon makes an impressive save on Liam O’Brien. I feel like Liam’s face summarizes the feeling right now.
The most depressed celebration and goal scorer I’ve ever seen. 🙁
