The Capitals held an optional skate this morning at Bell Centre in preparation for their game tonight against the Montreal Canadiens. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. The game will feature round two of the great goaltending matchup between Braden Holtby and Carey Price. Lars Eller also makes his first return to Montreal since being traded to Washington.
The Capitals are aiming for their sixth win in a row and coming off a win in Ottawa Saturday night. You can check out our game preview here. It was a cold morning in Montreal…

MORNING SKATE:
Tom Wilson and T.J. Oshie weren’t at practice yesterday but were present on the ice this morning, which is great news for Caps fans.
Will @TJOshie77 play tonight? Still on the ice with Carey, O’Brien, and Chorney. @CSNCapitals @Laughlin18 @JoeBpXp pic.twitter.com/ZE9TbpsMTg

#Caps have an optional skate this morning. Oshie and Wilson were injured last game. If both play tonight lineup should look like this: pic.twitter.com/4sJdpqSzlJ

Ovechkin spelling aside, this is a cool way to tweet the projected lines! In other news, the Capitals have recalled Paul Carey from Hershey for the third time this season.
Tom Wilson told reporters after practice that he’s good to go for tonight’s game. Meanwhile, Oshie won’t play tonight and there is no indication yet on who will be in his place. It could be Paul Carey or Liam O’Brien, Trotz wouldn’t say. Trotz said Oshie is day-to-day.
Oshie is not playing tonight. And even though he skated, @CapitalsPR is not making him available.
