Braden Holtby’s Latest Bucket is Gorg

Braden Holtby and Swedish artist David Gunnarsson of DaveArt have a longstanding relationship, as the two have been collaborating on Holtby’s goalie masks for a number of years. On Friday afternoon, Gunnarsson released images of his latest creation for Holtby.

Artist and friend of NoVa Caps, David Gunnarson, detailed the new concept through social media releases on Friday.

The next chapter in Braden Holtby’s mask art saga is here. It is such a joy to create a mask story from mask to mask and evolve it through the years.

Braden and I have been working together for many years. This new design goes in the wellknown Holtby style, and here created in a subtle vintage style. And the closer you come the more details you will discover and the mask transforms in front of your eyes into a true Storyteller mask.

For sure it is also loaded with all the DaveArt Trademark Super FX.. It is so exciting to be your personal artist Braden, thank you.

In a recent interview with NoVa Caps, David explained his general approach to designing new goalie head-gear:

“There are a lot of thoughts behind every mask. I love masks that tell a story. For me this is not a job, it is a lifestyle. It is my fantasy I live on and I come up with all kind of crazy ideas all the time. I save all my ideas and sketch them every day and save them in my archive, but some ideas are so crazy so maybe I only use 10% of them…haha”

Well done David!
