Tonight at Kettler Capitals Iceplex, Caps players Matt Niskanen, Brooks Orpik, T.J. Oshie and Zach Sanford, in coordination with the MSE Foundation, hosted the Courage Caps Skating Party.
Approximately 130 surviving military children and adults who have found healing through the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) had the opportunity to skate with the players. TAPS is a nonprofit organization that provides comfort and care for anyone grieving the death of someone who died while serving in the military.
Tonight’s Courage Caps Skating Party kicked off the 2016-17 Courage Caps campaign. TAPS will receive 100% of the proceeds raised through the sale of Courage Caps team-issued branded hats and t-shirts.
