The Washington Capitals spent part of their Monday afternoon at the Med-Star Georgetown University Hospital, visiting patients and spreading a little holiday cheer.  The visit has become a traditional event for the Capitals during the holiday season.

As part of the visit, Capitals players participated in art activities with the kids in the Pediatric Hematology – Oncology Clinic.

The players also participated in photo booth activities with several of the patients.

Here, Nate Schmidt shows off his artistic skills:

About Jon Sorensen

Jon has been a Caps fan since day one, attending his first game at the Capital Centre in 1974. His passion for the Caps has done nothing but grow over the decades, including time as a season ticket holder, social media and community organizer, and most recently led to the founding of NoVa Caps in 2014. Jon earned a Bachelor's of Science in Engineering at Old Dominion University, and is a Systems Engineer during intermissions, which has been instrumental in supporting his Capitals habit.
