Vitek Vanecek leads the team onto the ice in the throwback jerseys the Bears wore for warmups.
Mitch Lamoureux, Mike Mahoney, Bobby Perreault, and Charles “Chuck” Hamilton were inducted as the Hershey Bears Hall of Fame Class of 2016. John Walton returned to Hershey for Hall of Fame Night, serving as emcee for the night’s festivities.
Perhaps a little Walton was all the Bears needed to right the ship after back-to-back losses to start the week.

Paul Carey and Christian Djoos each recorded two-point performances as Hershey defeated the Springfield Thunderbirds 4-0. Vitek Vanecek was stellar in net, stopping all 22 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season.
Paul Carey put the Bears on top late in the first period when he scored off an excellent pass from Liam O’Brien. His AHL-leading point scoring streak now stands at 18 games. Carey then added an assist in the second period when Darren Dietz scored his first goal of the season.
The Bears added another tally just 19 seconds later when Zach Sill pounced on a rebound off of a Tyler Lewington shot.
The Bears would get another goal in the third when Chris Bourque connected on the power play for the 4-0 lead. Complete game highlights:
