TJ Oshie participated in this morning’s pre-game skate at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. He was on the ice for the first time since sustaining an injury against the Detroit Red Wings on November 18th.
Oshie, who sustained an “upper body injury”, had not participated in team practices since the injury until this morning.
Oshie says today was the best he’s felt since getting hurt, but added that there’s no timetable on his return.

However, it’s still unclear as to when we can expect him to make a return to the lineup.
Oshie said there’s no real target date for return. Just trying to get better every day.

Due to NHL rules the team is not required to disclose the exact type injury to Oshie. However, many close to the situation suspect it is a shoulder injury, possibly a partially separated shoulder. Again, its speculation.
Trotz said Oshie is “still week to week, but he’s making progress.”
