More Line Changes, Beagle On Top Line

Capitals head coach Barry Trotz was back at it, changing up the Capitals forward lines on Monday morning at practice.  This time the top line found Jay Beagle and Brett Connolly teamed with Alex Ovechkin.

The new lines, as first reported by Isabelle Khurshudyan of the Washington Post:

Jay Beagle has made appearances on the top line in the past, mostly when the team needed a shake-up. A 5-1 loss to Carolina may be considered a need for a shake-up.

The Capitals will depart to Columbus, Ohio following practice this morning. The Capitals face the Blue Jackets on Tuesday and then return home to host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night at Verizon Center.
