Peter Bondra and a contingent from Monumental Sports embarked on a week-long tour of the United Arab Emirates, with stops in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The purpose, to educate the world about hockey.

Ambassador Bondra will serve as a coach for the Pavlikovsky Hockey School program at the Zayed Sports Ice Rink in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 13-14 in conjunction with Monumental Sports Global Academies.

“I’m excited to help grow the game in the UAE and use my experience to teach young hockey players in the region,” said Bondra. “The opportunities to host these types of clinics around the globe will promote the growth of hockey and the Capitals brand.”

Pavlikovsky Hockey School is an international ice hockey school designed to assist youth players with improving their hockey skills. The camp features on- and off-ice training under the instruction of NHL players as well as world champions. In addition to Bondra, coaches for the Nov. 13-14 session include Richard Linter, Miroslav Satan and Rasti Pavlikovsky.

SIGHTS
Bondra’s entourage, including Jomoke Davis, had a chance to tour some of the sights on Saturday.

During the first day of the camp, Bondra was introduced to a local stick-handler, who is also on the women’s national team.

And to no surprise, the Capitals are truly a world-wide community. #WeAreEveryWhere
