With his 109th career multi-goal game against the Winnipeg Jets, Alex Ovechkin continues to climb the record books. One of his two goals, an overtime winner, placed him alongside the names of legends.

Ovechkin’s overtime power play goal was his 91st career game-winning goal, which ties him with Hockey Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky and four-time Stanley Cup winner Mark Recchi for 16th on the all-time game-winning goals list.

For The Great Eight, it’s just another step further into the record books, and Capitals fans can bet he will have many more left in his legendary career.
