Drawing Washington Capitals: This Artist is Amazing

Russian artist Natali Tretyakova spends a great deal of her free time drawing hockey players, and Russian hockey players in particular. When we came across her Instagram account, we were blown away by her rendering of Capitals’ superstar, Evgeny Kuznetsov.

We originally stumbled across Natali’s work when were researching a story on Evgeny Kuznetsov. Digging a little deeper, we found that Natali was also creating fantastic time-lapse videos of her process:

After we saw her drawing of Kuzy, we had to reach out to the artist to find out more. Natali mentioned she was also getting ready to draw Alex Ovechkin. We wanted to do a quick post, but when we heard Ovi was coming, we had to wait. Natali posted her time-lapse of her Ovechkin piece today:

Natali, 26, hails from Moscow, Russia, and studied art at Moscow State University (MGGU) (Sholokhov ’13). Well done Natali! We need more. How about a savvy Swede (#19) sometime 🙂
