Kuznetsov and Pavel Datsyuk have built-up a pretty strong bond over the last couple of NHL seasons. This summer Kuznetsov participated in the Datsyuk youth camp, working with local kids, and helping them develop their game of hockey.
During this past season, the two met for dinner when Datsyuk’s Red Wings were in Washington. It’s pretty clear that Kuznetsov has a great deal of respect for Pavel Datsyuk, even adding a scholarly graduation cap in the Instagram message from that evening.

Pavel Datsyuk, also known as “The Magic Man” retired from the NHL this year so he could spend more time with his daughter from his first marriage. On July 8th, Datsyuk, 38, signed a two-year deal with SKA St. Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League.
