As Capitals players begin to find their way back to Kettler and the start of the World Cup of Hockey inches closer, we are excited to announce the return of our daily Caps Reports. The NoVa Caps daily report will be published each evening on a daily basis closer to the start of the season.

MORNING SKATE
This morning, Nathan Walker and Braden Holtby joined Nicklas Backstrom, Karl Alzner, John Carlson and Stan Galiev for unofficial morning skates at Kettler.

WORLD CUP OF HOCKEY
The NHL announced on Monday all official practice locations and times for all eight of the teams in the World Cup of Hockey. Team USA, Team Sweden and Team Finland will be practicing and holding morning skates at Kettler and Verizon Center. For more information, check here:

CAPITALS IN THE COMMUNITY
Nicklas Backstrom, Karl Alzner and Braden Holtby visited a DC youth center on Sunday to present a check for $23,450 to Horton’s Kids. You can find out more about the event here:

OVECHKIN PARTICIPATES IN CHARITY GAME 
The Great 8 participated in a charity hockey game on Sunday, which featured many of Russia’s current and all-time greats. Ovi dazzled with a sparkling shootout goal, provided some goaltending, and also found time to entertain the kids.

His passion for the Caps has grown over the decades, which has included time as a season ticket holder, social media and community organizer, and most recently led to the founding of NoVa Caps in 2014.
