In part two of our “meet the contributors” series we introduce you to NoVa Caps Lead Graphic Designer, Aaron Davis. Aaron joined NoVa Caps last summer, and over the past year has become an integral part of NoVa Caps.
One of the many reasons we started NoVa Caps was to provide Caps fans with a vehicle and platform suitable to explore, expand and enhance their skills in areas of interest. Aaron is a great example of the values of such a platform. We’ve seen his skills and capabilities rapidly grow over the past year in his contributions to NoVa Caps. Aaron’s art, coupled with Joe Noyes’s photography, represents a significant portion of NoVa Caps visual story telling.
We are continuously amazed at Aaron’s passion for the Capitals as well as his dedication to NoVa Caps. Aaron endures long work days with multiple jobs and a newborn son, and still manages to provide his excellent creative touches for NoVa Caps.
As we experienced in our initial bio piece on NoVa Caps photographer Joe Noyes, it’s extremely difficult to identify a small collection of images that accurately sums up his contributions and skills, but we felt we needed to try our best.
From Aaron:
I have always been drawn to sports. I played baseball leading up and into college, I have been bowling in leagues since I was 4 yrs old and currently play in adult softball leagues
regularly. I am a passionate fan of all sports, but nothing compares to my love for the Capitals. I didn’t come into Caps fandom until I was in my late teens. I was hooked instantly after attending my first game at 18.
I work full-time as a meat cutter and part-time at a local flooring company. Graphic design has always been a hobby of mine and soon wish to return back to college to finish the graphic design degree I started 13 years ago. I have greatly enjoyed contributing to the Nova Caps team. It’s a passion of mine and it’s been wonderful to be able to work with this group while also learning and acquiring new skills in the art of graphic design. When I’m not making graphics or working, I’m spending time with my amazing wife and beautiful baby boy. Go Caps!
